Responsibilities Will Include:

We seek a Vice President of Engineering – a confident manager and technology leader – with expansive expertise in RF video and audio. The expectation is for this VP to be self-assured, making commitments, meeting deadlines and communicating freely, successfully leading the engineering organization while contributing to the strategic growth of the company as a whole.

This includes guiding the design process and product transition into a manufacturing environment while achieving on-budget technical performance, time to market and unit production cost performance, understanding current and future customers’ needs, crafting technical implementation strategies to create sustainable competitive advantage and translating those strategies into successful technical execution.

Key for our client is an engineering executive with deep experience working in the electronics market as it relates to the Department of Defense and government agencies including experience with prime defense contractors. An operational understanding of the defense market as well as a security clearance will be needed.

Requirements:

Key Points -
1. A strong technical background demonstrating multiple engineering experiences including:
a. Wireless / RF,
b. Systems engineering,
c. RF hardware and/or software,
d. Video & audio recording, transmission, storage and presentation.,
e. Wireless radio communication devices.
2. Strong Project Management skills that allow for meeting deadlines and commitments.
3. The ability to successfully guide the team and process from concept through production.
4. The ability to contribute to the strategic growth and betterment of the company.
5. Experience with US federal customers; OEMs within the DoD electronics markets and existing domain expertise in DoD competitive, purchasing and operational execution.
6. Ability to achieve or have security clearance
7. BSEE minimum, MSEE preferred.
8. Strong written and verbal communications skills, Multi-language skills helpful.
9. A personality that is confident and self-assured to work with strong, to-the-point personalities.
