Will Include:
Technical skill together with business acumen will enable the Portables Product Manager to be a guiding force for the product lines and their growth within the company and overall market space.
The Portables Product Manager has global responsibility for developing the strategic plan - explaining business objectives, profit realization, and developing the product roadmap - then integrating that plan with the global, regional and functional plans of the company.
The Manager will plan, lead and manage the entire life of the portables product lines as well as manage and drive product line results including all channels of distribution, market segments and customers. With a thorough understanding of our customer’s requirements, the competitive environment and core competencies of the technology, the manager will identify and communicate the business strategy for each product line, identify market opportunities, as well as identify and develop new and existing applications and products.
Requirements:
Key factors for this Product Manager / Business Development role --
Business acumen: understand the challenges and business model of the mobile handset market, customer interfacing at the international/global level (Europe and Asia), MBA
Market knowledge: have vision and analysis of the wireless device industry, a solid understanding of consumer and cell phone markets
Technology – BSEE, have good engineering skills in RF devices, antennas and related products, understanding stamped metal and batteries (lithium ion et al) experience a plus.
Other: Successful history of product management or product line management, well organized with the ability to lead a global team within a matrix reporting company.
