Client Description:

We’re looking for Operations Excellence and the understanding of a leader who comes from a technical background in microwave communications to grow a small product focused company into the integrated systems “Go To” Division.

Our client is a fast moving and growing organization. As a pioneer in technologically advanced communications products, our client maintains a high degree of expertise in the development and production of microwave/RF related devices for commercial video and covert surveillance equipment. As the Director of Operations / COO you will provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of the company’s mission as a division of its globally recognized corporate parent.

Responsibilities Will Include:

Our client is keen on an Operations Executive with a background in engineering and wireless communications systems. This knowledge and the ability to interact with other product divisions to develop large systems initiatives for customers will mean smarter operations decisions and enable the move toward expected growth in engineered microwave systems. This will be what makes this division and the leader in this company the right choice.

You will be responsible for all day-to-day P&L business and operational decisions, maintaining a strong, positive company image via its programs, products and mission, ensuring confidentiality of customers, vendors and programs and transition to the responsibility of the division’s General Manager.

Duties -

Oversee operational activities of all departments (except Engineering.)

Handle business and management affairs necessary to carry out the responsibilities of the company including HR, authorization of purchases, payment of operational expenses, and management of policies.

Be active as a member of the executive management by attending and actively participating in meetings for, manufacturing, quality management, marketing, and other areas as appropriate.

Maintain an in-depth technical knowledge of all the company’s products and keep abreast of technology, markets and product areas, as well as feedback from key accounts.

Requirements:

A technical degree (BSEE) plus a degree in management.

Experience in manufacturing operations of wireless electronics (small to medium company or division) to include: engineering (Microwave & RF systems,)executive management (P/L, operations, organization,) certification in ISO 9002 and/or other QA assurance program, government bidding and purchasing procedures.

DoD Clearance or the ability to acquire, Bondable.

Systems engineering experience: security, microwave connections, wireless, video transmission, Digital transmission, SML

Market knowledge of the development and use of Unmanned Vehicle Systems
