This globally recognized wireless surveillance equipment designer markets its technology, quality, and performance to a multitude of law enforcement, defense, and homeland security applications.
Serving the surveillance and security markets, our client - a manufacturer of innovative components and radios for wireless data, video, and audio communications - seeks a vital talent for its continued success.
Responsibilities
Will Include:
This Sales Manager will drive sales in support of defined strategies in pursuit of company goals within the broad Federal law enforcement marketplace that includes Homeland Security and other Federal agencies all needing surveillance systems.
An initial focus will be on expanding relationships with existing clients and prioritizing related opportunities while maximizing new market opportunities and developing the company’s pursuit strategies to gain new business in current and planned surveillance technology expansion programs.
Critical also will be assisting these clients through the next two years of spectrum and equipment conversion to higher frequencies and channels.
Target market segments include Federal law enforcement agencies (FBI, DEA, ATF, INS, USPS, BOP, USSS, DOJ, CBP) and other Federal agencies requiring similar and active audio and video communications (FEMA, HIDTA, DOE). You will be responsible for outlining these agencies’ pursuit strategies, targeting individual accounts, and prioritization of programs to pursue and business potential to develop.
Successful achievement of meeting defined bookings and margin targets - response to and assistance with procurement and contract offers - while providing feedback on product requirements, pricing, and other aspects of marketing will be keys to a successful career with this market leader.
Requirements:
A successful history of sales experience to and intimate knowledge of Federal agency selling and business development (buying cycles, key program milestones, procurement methods, contracting and organizational infrastructure)
Experience calling on the Federal agencies involved in law enforcement and those who have need of surveillance technology
Technical or business degree
Experience with federal agencies (please, note this is not DoD or military sales)
Have or able to obtain U.S. Secret clearance
Ability to travel a minimum of 30%
Intimate knowledge of target customer base and strategic senior-level relationships
A demonstrated and successful methodology for developing key account strategies
A deep understanding of new business opportunities and expansion programs such as L-band conversion
Superior verbal and written presentation and communication skills to small and large groups
Demonstrated experience of thriving in an entrepreneurial / small company environment
